Yea, because men must believe all women are whores just because we want to determine paternity.

We should probably start business partnerships without contracts as well. Not all partners are thieves and fxkups.

Perfectly fine that women are 100% certain of maternity, but heaven forbid men get that same confirmation.

Paternity tests should be mandatory now. If the state is going to be in the child support payment enforcement business, then they should also be in the paternity confirmation business. Too many men have been forced by courts to pay thousands for children that aren’t theirs. Take the mystery out of it and simply mandate the test at birth.

The law may be different in Louisiana, many laws are. I am not a lawyer, but I think in Georgia and in Pennsylvania the law is like I described, and I think that it is the same in many other states. I could be wrong, and also, when I became aware of this, DNA tests were new, some laws might have been updated.

I have heard of a man suing his ex-wife because of DNA tests, but even in that case I don't think he could get out of child support, only that he could sue for the damages she caused.

In France, it’s illegal to have the kid tested for paternity without both parents consenting. I’d be tempted to take the kid to a nearby country where the laws are different and get the test done

I can see a tour operator working somewhat underground in Europe creating opportunities for new parents to take their baby to Disney World in Florida and learn about modern science in many forms, with data delivered before the vacation ends.

I'm not a lawyer either, but Google tells me a court order can get a name removed from a birth certificate in either of those states. DNA is considered compelling enough evidence in either (and anywhere in the US to my knowledge) nowadays, but that did take a minute.

Family court is another matter. It may take a separate court action to end child support, and a third if you want to recover money you already gave. Again, like yourself, I am not a lawyer.
