What does 400 pounds have to do with how thick it’s skin is? 120 pounds of bite force is enough to get through the skin (not covered with thick hair) and injure it some. And I’m not saying get a mouthful. Just enough to cause some bleeding.

If a ton of people are sent at it and at least some of those people each inflect a little damage through whatever way (before dying), then the bleeding and injuries can add up along with the gorilla getting worn out.

I know it seems ridiculous but so this scenario, and I’m assuming people in this fight are insane and hellbent on killing the gorilla.

Enough to shite in their hands and throw it at the silverback until it runs away on its knuckles for a moral victory. Guerilla warfare, bitches.

Enough to scare it into running away. Humans are masters of exhaustion hunting. Once the gorilla is tired the men simply beat it to death.

It’s like catching a prize fish, you’re not going to subdue him until he is absolutely worn out. Not enough men can hold him to simply overpower him. He has to be tired out by the sheer number of man he is facing. I’m thinking probably 40.

He would likely out right kill the first five.

A silverback could not be killed by unarmed humans, in a standing struggle. The only way is to trample the beast to death, and it would require a large mob of humans.

It wouldn’t be that hard with 5 guys. You would have to have some guys taking a beating and then you have your strongest guy jump on the gorilla’s back to choke him out.

It's like none of you have ever seen a nature documentary.

Humans are pack animals. All of you were thinking of a stand-up fight in the way that humans would fight other humans.

When pack animals are trying to take out a larger prey they surround and harass the animal until it collapses from exhaustion. No one individual from the pack is going to put themselves at risk of being caught unless they made a mistake. Pack animals have one of the highest rates of success in the animal kingdom because of this tactic and there are humans on this planet right now, today, that still employ this method without throwing one spear or one rock. They basically run down their prey.

Humans are quite literally the king of this hunting method. Even before we had mastered tools we were still killing everything in sight without much issue. We have more endurance than any animal on land. We're built for this shite.

This...

...and this...

...was evolution revolution.

TL;DR:
frick a gorilla.

Gorillas aren't the fighting type. You should pick a tiger or grizzly
