Yeah I told her she was a liar about the not caring thing. As for handling it well, I realized after just a little bit that I'm better off without her and I wish I had done it years ago. I also met a great woman six months after we split and that helped a lot. The fact that she's six years younger than my ex didn't hurt either lol.
We have four kids together. The oldest two girls are teenagers. They never took sides and I never said anything bad about their mother to them but they are starting to realize on their own how manipulative, dishonest and selfish she is. Our son is 10 and our youngest girl is 8. Neither of them have any idea what's going on really, they're too busy coping with everyone not living in the same house anymore.
My son lives with me and the girls live with her. But our 13 year old started out with me then moved to her mom's and now wants to come back. That was a nice little conversation with the ex after she found out. I had to remind her that she was all for letting our daughter live where she wanted when it was with her, she didn't want to be a hypocrite now did she? If my ex doesn't change how she's acting it probably won't be much longer before my oldest girl wants to move in too.

Damn. That has to be tough on the kids. Sounds like you are dealing with it well, which has to help them. Your ex sounds like a real piece of work. I would have real trouble not talking shite to her dumb arse.
To the OP, all the women in my family are mildly to moderately crazy, but my SO has a cousin who is on meds for schizophrenia. Maybe eight years ago, he took a knife and tried to kill himself by self inflicting multiple stab wounds. I'm scared to have him around my kids for family functions, but he's so pilled up he just stands by any table with food and destroys it. He eats like a mofo now from the meds. My BIL's joke about getting to the dip before their cousin because he fricks it up as soon as it's put out.

My sister is legit insane. She was in a mental hospital for 2 months earlier this year, and then some mental hospital outpatient rehab deal for 3 months after that. Cost my parents $110k, and she was bitching at them within 45 minutes of coming home for not wanting to buy her a new car. Huge argument that lasted 30 minutes. Her reasoning was......the battery was dead.
So she was home for a couple of weeks and decided she wanted to go to Harvard. Funny because she didn't even graduate high school, and barely finished her art management degree at College of Charleston. Has done nothing art-related since, even though my aunt owns a large art gallery in the city.
Would not go back to live at her apartment, which my parents were paying for, when she got back because one of her friends randomly committed suicide and it reminded her of one of the two times he came to her place.
Hasn't held down a job for longer than 6 months, including working as a secretary for my mom's boss. Got fired from one job because she didn't show up most of the week, and when she did, she was late. After they fired her, she was trying to sue them saying that she had a mental disorder that required her to sleep past 10am, so there was no way she could make it to work on time.
She hasn't been to a thanksgiving or Christmas party at their house in 4 years because she was "too tired". Normally drinks a bottle of wine a day and is on probably 5 different meds for being crazy.
We had an engagement party for my uncle at my parent's house while she was here. Got really drunk and decided to give a speech about herself and why she was awesome. I guess she thought everything was going good. That was until I kicked the table over that she was standing on.
She went to Boston to hang out with a guy she met at rehab. My parents bought her a ticket there, but refuse to buy her a ticket back and have now put all of her stuff in a POD ready to be shipped to "Harvard". They cut off her credit cards and cell phone also. Hopefully we never see her again, and our family would honestly be better off if she were dead.
Nut-fricking-job
