I suppose that they could automate high school teaching, but that wouldn't give parents anybody to shriek at when their little darling has a 1.5 GPA.

The Hard Rock in Biloxi has an automated bartender. I forget the number of drinks an hour it can make.

I’m honestly not trying to make my profession harder than it really is, trust me. But there is an art to repair, it may not seem like it, but you need to be able to “think” about your plan and change plans while doing it, cracks are funny. Unless you get some kinda crazy good robot, all for $40 profit I just don’t know. Plus the kicker is the windshield dudes that will drive to somebody’s house. Those dude’s at gas stations running up to your car are blowhards, a robot at gas station just sitting there? Gas station owner gonna pay for robot upkeep and damage he is definitely gonna do, nah. Not saying it’s impossible but it’s just not possible, lol, unless your shite gonna get torn up. Maybe it does, as long as it can hold off 14 more years I’m good.

How long before we have to start taxing robots as if they are people making income? Is this already a thing?

So we're going to pay robots to work? Are you serious with this?

From what I can tell from the cabin, which is not much, I would imagine the plane flies itself now and the pilots just monitor....but what the hell do I know.

It'll be another few decades before they get a machine that can play Golf Clash and yell at the greenhands

Not anytime soon in my case, IMHO.

I do development for a Customizable Off The Shelf system, including debugging and quality control.

Maintenance alone on this system will keep me employed for years, let alone new development.

I would say should be down to the design aspect but my company can not get shite right with tech we have and I do more than I show in Excel.

I'm a DBA/sys analyst with ISDS and Finance degrees.

Anything a bidness analyst or cost accountant can whip up in Excel and give to a manager in electronic format, I can automate from data source to distribution.

I fricking hate IT but they told me computers were the future in 96 when I finally got out of Junior Division and had to pick a major(is it still called JD?).
So here I be. I think I'm good till retirement on the stuff I do. ~22 yrs.
