According to Pew, Southern Baptist are 85% white and 6% black.

There are a lot of blacks in the Assembly of God church in the southern states.

Ahh I gotcha. Genuinely curious on this one. I honestly did not know there was a difference. Shows how much I know about protestant religions.

My grandma was small town north LA southern baptist. Never really thought about until a few months ago. Went into a deep dive on it.
It’s pretty interesting history.
Catholics has a cleaner history because their leadership is well ingrained. The American Protestant history is a mess of politics.

It really is interesting. Most umbrella Protestant denominations like Southern Baptists, United Methodists, Methodists, Baptists, etc...are “united” under the umbrella of the organization, but the actual individual church buildings/congregations are probably the most socially acceptable segregated places remaining in America. On both sides. I’d imagine any race is welcome at any church, people just choose to worship with people that look like them.
It should be obvious, but this is just commentary, not criticism. I’ve always found it interesting.

College professors are the problem. They are mostly Marxist and naturally hate all religion.
