I work two 24 hour shifts a week, generally on Mondays and Thursdays.

~6 hours per day and 4 days most weeks.
I love my job.

8 hrs a day, 5 days a week. Not allowed to work over 40 thank God. Don't know why or how people work 50,60 or more hours a week.

14 days on/14 days off 12 hours a day (supposed to be, really 14-18 most days)

10-11 hours a day on average, Monday through Friday and on call always. When deadlines approach it could peak around 75 hours per week, but that doesn't happen often. It's fun work and I am compensated pretty well for the above average hours. My wife works a similar schedule so it works out.
I held close to 40 hours a week while I was in school full time too, and once I graduated I went straight in to a job where I averaged about 50 hours per week. My family was poor so I didn't really have a choice. My last job was probably close to 70 hours per week so my schedule now seems pretty soft. It's all relative I guess.

Thats off dude. Ducking off. nost people I know my age would work that. Not many options depending on where you live to work that. If that's your impression, you might want to start befriending some more hard working individuals. People are off out by elitism but when your surrounded y people who consider themselves elite, you'll see people who put in the above and beyond effort. There lives suck but I have a lot of friends who have no hobbies. No internet, no culture, no tv, no nothing. It's all about making money to them and they can sleep when they're dead. I'm not like that but I have endurance for money.

The average person works 40 out of the 168 hours we have in a week, less than 1/4 of the time. How much more balance do you want? Assuming you like your job, which everyone should since this is America and you can do whatever you want, that is nothing.

He works about 56 hours a 7 day week on his schedule. Factor in sleeping about 50 hours and te commute and you're not left with much time.
I wish we didn't work so much also, one of the downfalls of the US IMO. Most people could get the same work done in a 30 hour week.

mon-fri 6am to 230 pm plus 10-15 hours of overtime is available per week , i usually work as much ot as i can get .... also get 4 weeks vacation and 9 paid holidays per year ....

That's his choice and I wasn't commenting on his schedule. I was commenting on the fact that a 40 hour work week is no biggie, especially for people that take vacations and PTO.

People Scandinavia and Germany and other European countries work the same hours and get the same shite done that we do, and get like twice the vacation we do. That's the standard
You might find 2% of jobs in the US outside of being a teacher who start with 6 weeks vacation.

Debatable. I work for a company that is headquartered in Europe and they are not nearly as efficient as we are. When I went over there they were taking 20 minute coffee breaks like 6 times a day and it seems like they randomly have 10 days off once a month, and it shows in the amount of work they accomplish. Granted that probably isn't the same for every European company, but the work ethic from my European counterparts is pitiful.

Impressive.
So much for being intentionally vague.

I dunno, I work white collar jobs with mostly white people, I don't see why my company and most other companies abide by the shitty vacation time standard. Not really a demographics thing.
