Woke up in the middle of Sunday night... Puked and shite about every 30 minutes for about 5 hours.

The puking was only three times. But it was projectile more than I've ever puked in my life style. To the point I was just puking water id drank the last round.

Slept all day yesterday... Finally have some energy, but very dizzy and still have stomach issues.

Haven't eaten much, but am staying hydrated.
You sound like a mental midget or a pussy. Who cares which one. Miss a couple of days at work you hayseed fig-got. ACME Steve Smith will get the promotion over you.

I got back from Iraq with a bug/parasite that lasted eight months. I went from 196 to 151 pounds and went to work every goddamn day before it passed. I was shitting blood. I got promoted too carrying this goddamn intestinal sucker. You're in your 20's aren't you?

Grow up.

How long does food poisoning last?

Depends on what caused it.

Staph -- couple of days; it's a toxin and there may not be any infection going on. Clear the toxin and you're good to go.

Salmonella -- week or two or longer -- it's an actual infection by the bacteria and you need to get them knocked out.

Amanita mushrooms -- couple of days (at first). It's a toxin so you clear it and think you're recovered, but then you get sick because it's actually been accumulating in your liver and then you get liver failure and die.

Eat some microwave soup, adult fluid replacement, pepto, and put a Dramamine patch behind your ear before you to sleep tonight. Trust me

Yeah, could be a stomach virus. Leaning towards food poisoning though. Nobody else I know has been sic

It's probably norovirus, aka food poisoning, aka a common cause of the stomach flu.

Any fever/chills?

I figure that's what I had after an 8 hour flight. Fever for 3 days (103 to 104), in bed (when not in the bathroom) for 6 days. Still weak after 10 days. Worse than the regular flu which was bad enough.

That sounds like more of a virus.

I got food poisoning from a meat pie at the fricking Paragon several years ago and I want to say I was really sick for about 2.5 days and even after that I still didn't feel well for a few more.

It seems like I have had co-workers who had it at some point and was out 4... maybe even a whole week from it. One guy, a few years back, got it from a salad he got from Target and I want to say he was out for a whole week.
