I'm a tool because I think it is funny that someone only washes their jeans once every SIX months when they wear them daily? Really?

My express jeans last 4+ years, but I got some RL jeans a few years ago and they barely made it a year before the pockets ripped.

Don't you find that odd or am I wrong? I can't even fathom going a week without washing my jeans much less going 26 weeks.

Well, you can wash them before then if they are dirty, but if you want the jeans to conform to your body then washing after 6 months (generally) is recommended. The washing instructions vary from company to company, but I'm not saying not to clean your jeans if they are dirty. It all depends on what you do and what you want out of them. Since raw denim comes unwashed, you want to limit the amount of shrinkage that will occur. After six months the shrinkage will make the jeans conform to your body even more.

Lots of people actually but they usually don't wear the same jeans every day, and if they do I would imagine they wash them at least once a week.

I just don't see any possible way I could make it even a month without having to wash jeans, I mean if I go to the bar ONCE in jeans I am washing them because they will end up smelling like smoke. Plus even when I don't go I end up spilling shite on my jeans. Maybe I am just a slob but there is just no way I could make it 6 months!

Pretty much everybody in our office wears jeans every day. We're an oil and gas brokerage, so we're either In the courthouse slinging old books around, or we're behind a desk making phone calls- don't really see a need to dress up for that every day.

Surprisingly raw denim doesn't seem to hold smells all that much. I was paranoid when I first started wearing them because I figured they would start to stink, but they really haven't. I mean a fashion icon like Tommy Hilfiger never washes his jeans because he likes them broken in. Also raw denim is higher quality and doesn't really seem to stain or smell like other jeans. I know it sounds weird, but this is what you get with high - quality American made goods.

I wear jeans only on weekends (wranglers for yard work, nicer jeans for going out) and they last me several years.

I own three pairs of Lee Premium Select jeans and they're holding up very well. Had them for almost 3 years

You can get a pair of wranglers for less than $30 and they last a long long time.
