According to my cardiologist, I’d last as long as my supply of 10mg of Coumadin a day held out. Once that’s gone, I’d last probably about four days.

Common pharmaceutical. Your first stop should be the Walgreens and clean them out.

Drilling down, they’re generally a deep subject.

That’s just the thing. If I’m on my own in a post apocalyptic state, it is entirely impossible that people are not a threat.

Forever. I live in Florida. Rains enough for plenty of water. Fruit trees everywhere. Plenty of fishing

have a cattle farm in small town remote Mississippi. Have 300 head of cattle, a working water well, couple bass and catfish ponds, arable land, wild turkey, deer, and other small game, and a full home propane generator. All fenced in and could easily protect with the arsenal we’ve obtained through the years.

Think you won’t get poached or rustled? Or murdered for your food supply?

I was born into near the same conditions as you describe. It was like a Little House On The Prairie episode except we did have a couple of electric light bulbs and the AM radio we listened to at night. Later, Dad bought an electric pump for the well but no flushing toilets or hot water heaters.

Granted, my parents grew up with smoke houses, meat salt boxes, drying peas and beans and digging wells so it was just a continuance of that life and knew no better.

If we had to suddenly go back to that again, I might not make it. My garden has become overgrown with the vines of convenience.

If you have a cardiologist that still uses Coumadin get a new one.

When you have an artificial heart valve, the only blood thinner you can use is Coumadin.

That’s just what the other people want you to think.

I'll not try to come across as Billy Badass on a message board and go with a week. I don't have a garden. I don't have much wildlife near where I live. I don't have a prep kit with water or food. I would imagine a car would be worthless in this scenario as the roads would be packed, eliminating any chance of my family and I making it out of town.

We'd be screwed...and I'm alright with that. I'd prefer not to spend each day of my life worrying about what I'm going to do when the world comes to a halt. That's an abyss that will ruin a man.
