We don't let nurses come back to work until they are at least 24 hours fever free WITHOUT having to take an antipyretic (tylenol/motrin).

Have you been fever free for at least 24 hours? And didn't have to take any tylenol or motrin?

Okay. No fever but I've been medicated since it hit.
I felt drugged Wednesday night. Thursday I worked but after four jobs I called it a day and Nyquil'd out. Woke up today feeling like shite.
Doctor gave me a shot (my first shot as an adult,, I'm 37)
Felt great. Came home and did my taxes.
Don't feel bad other than my joints hurt and I can't deal with light.

Again...should be 24 hours without a fever without taking any medications with tylenol or motrin(nyquil and dayquil has tylenol in it).

You don't want to be spreading this to others. Flu has already killed like 86 kids in the US so far this season.

See how it plays out this weekend.

I know it's frustrating to miss work(and money) when you are sick. So drink plenty of fluids and get plenty of rest so your body can get better.

I wouldn't cancel Monday until you get to Sunday and are still running a fever.

When I was diagnosed with the flu the doctor told me you are contagious for 5-7 days after the first symptoms.

I have an 8 week old and am just getting over the flu. Wife and kid went to the in-laws for the week, but they came back this morning. I came down with symptoms last Sunday night, swabbed positive Monday morning, haven’t had fever since late Monday or Tuesday morning. Should I keep away from the baby for a few more days just to be safe? I still have a little cough, although it’s gotten much better.
