I'm a big fan of craft beer and high end bourbon, and have a few friends who will hang with me and drink mich ultras or jack and cokes. I don't sit there and explain to them why what I have in my glass is superior...I just smile, cheers and enjoy the night.

Apples to oranges comparison. This is my friend and I said we were playfully going back and forth. Banter that was started by her.

You could have looked at her and went...hmmm guess Hendrix isn't your thing...but you went another route and it probably came off snobby as shite.

yea...me and my friends banter too... they ask how the hell I can drink that diesel fuel, paint thinner...whatever analogy they wanna use. Again, I don't try and explain to them why it's actually superior to what they like which you did with her music taste.

You can spin it how you want, but she told you her taste and you eventually ended by giving her an analogy which compared her taste to something you clearly have a low opinion of and your taste to something you have a high opinion of. What's more is you were clearly proud enough of doing this to start a thread about.

That she agreed with.

It's been a slow day at work so we can totally keep doing this, or you can realize you were kinda being a snob, take your downvotes and move on

Speaking of snobbish comments...

Speaking of wine and music, many don't realize that the popular UB40 song Red, Red Wine is a Neil Diamond original. However, his version never panned out as did UB40s.
So much so, that Neil Diamond, when playing the song in concert, will sing more the UB40 reggae version.
