Decent I guess. Company is restructuring our comp in a strange way, leading to sizable pay cuts for older employees but sizable raises for the young guys like me. Not sure how to feel about it.

It's been good. Started a new job that is actually enjoyable compared to where I had been for the last 8 years.
My oldest just graduated and will be headed to college later this month. Life is good.

Got mediocre job
Father in law died
Grandmother died
Wife had a miscarriage
Covid whipped my arse for 2 weeks

Earned a promotion at the excellent job

I started probation for my obstruction of highway (read: dwi) that I got in 2021… but on the bright side I haven’t been smoking weed at all or drinking nearly as much and it has benefited me greatly. Started doing shrooms more which also has opened my life up. Also might have a girlfriend in the next couple months… I have stopped sleeping around so much and breaking girls hearts and it has made me feel like a much better person. Also got a car that I love for a great deal at the beginning of the year.
Can’t wait to get off probation and get a new job.
Probation sucks but in the long run it has probably had a net positive on my life.
Overall I can’t complain too much.
