Some people just have addictive genes. I’ve never done meth or heroin. But I could drink and do coke every day for a month straight and stop on day 32 for a whole year.

That, and whether you’re doing it as a means to have fun or a means to escape.

This was my experience. Meth and adderrall got really popular in Los Angeles right around 2000. Almost everyone I knew just did it recreationally as a party drug, and were able to stop without any professional intervention or causing serious harm to their bodies or lives. People ended up growing out of that party phase of their lives and moved on.

You ever snort coke?

Snort some meth. That’s how you get hooked. Really not hard to make the jump. I only did it one time. Never again. It does make you feel invincible though.

I did it once about 10 years ago. I can easily see how people get hooked on it.

I did it, had a wild and fun couple of days, crashed hard and was like "welp, that was fun but once was enough".

Some people take their first drink and lives are ruined for a lifetime.
Some try crack and never do it again, others never stop.
Others cant stop overeating.
Point is everyone reacts differently.

But... from my own personal experience, meth is a powerful, all consuming drug reflected in the number of those become addicted. Nobody PLANS on getting hooked.
