I can't help you with re-starting a Lexus, but I can tell you how to override the anti-theft system for a Volvo stereo. Here's my too long, didn't read, not so cool story, bro:
I left a map light on in my S-70 when I started a backpacking trip in Grand Canyon (on an April 1st, coincidentally). When I came back out 6 days later, my battery was dead. After getting a jump, the stereo was flashing "CODE". It comes with a factory set 4 digit code that I never changed. I thought I could remember it, but the car was 2-1/2 years old at that point and I couldn't recall the code. I punched in 3 possible codes and then it locked me out from trying again. I called Volvo and they told me I had to drive to a dealership. The closest were in Phoenix and Vegas, both about 225 miles away. So off to Vegas I went.
Volvo's Service Dept was closed by the time I got to Vegas on Saturday. I called Volvo again, begging for help. Finally a sympathetic person told me that if I started the car, and didn't put it in gear, it would eventually re-set and give me three more tries. Sounds like a plan ... but after hiking rim to rim to rim in the Grand Canyon and a ~225 mile drive, I'm ready for bed.
I get up early Sunday morning and crank my engine. No radio. I sat in my idling car in the parking lot of the Motel 6 on Tropicana Blvd for two hours. Drinking beer and reading a book. Right about the time I had to piss, "CODE" started flashing on the radio again. I tried twice, but no luck. So I went out to the casinos to waste more money and get drunker.
I checked out in the morning and headed to the dealership. Using every brain cell I hadn't killed yet, I remembered the code - 1124! I knew there was a pattern to the number, but it took almost 48 hours for me to remember it. That was in 2001 and the car is long gone, but I'll never forget that code.

this totally sounds like some shite that I would do! A few weeks back, I inexplicably forgot my ATM PIN while sitting at the ATM ready to withdraw some cash. I tried a few numbers and finally just gave up. I sat down to eat and the damn number just popped into my head. I quickly asked the cashier for a pen and paper!

The code was stamped on a little tag you could put on your key chain. I wasn't interested in doing that. The salesman was adamant that I not leave it in the console, so I stuck it in my pocket and went home with the new car. I stuck the tag in my desk drawer because how hard would it be to remember that 1+1=2 and 2+2=4? Too hard, apparently, when I needed to.

Brilliant. You are the 1 driving so a 1. Two times 1 is 11. 11 times two is 24. Hence, 1124.
I may start using that as my code since it is so easy to remember. Thanks baw.

Pop a Barry White CD in the stereo and gently and slowly rub leather treatment into all its interior nooks and crannies.

Disconnect battery turn on head light to completely drain. That should force hard reset.
