Aig.

Weird thing is when I say Greg it sounds like “Graig”, but when I say Craig it sounds like “Kreg”.

One and the same. See also: broom (same vowel sound as crumb for some crazy reason). Also, the body of water south of Louisiana is the Golf of Mexico.
