No, scheduled drugs can be sent electronically if the prescriber goes through the process from the DEA which allows it. It's basically like signing up to do it and setting up a 2 factor identification.

Texas for one is allowing refills

Call the pharmacy or ask the telemed doctor what their procedures are during this time since you can't get a handwritten prescription. Maybe they can fax it over?

Did a telemed appt for my son the other day, who daycare claimed had pink eye, and got the doctors call back and prescription within like 2 hours, pretty nice feature. I had never used it before.

It changes.

They’ve changed the written triplicates 2-3 times since opiate reform. To stay ahead of fraud.

Now I believe they are trying a totally e-prescription system or at least looking at it.

if you can’t go to the doctors office how will I get the handwritten script they require at the pharmacy? Far as I know they don’t let you call these in, you have to have the paper

Is Adderall in a special class of drugs that need a paper script?

I work in telemedicine and prescribe online every day. We have nurses that call in our prescriptions to the pharmacy where patients can pick up their medications. It's 2020, a paper script is usually not necessary. I'm sure some classes of medications do require it though.
