How do you deal with a friend that won't move on from a negative experience?

He got a nto on her ex two years ago and won't try new experiences. I'm trying my best to be a supportive friend. But it's taking a toll on my emotional health. What would you guys do? Is it time to cut the cord?

Sounds like you are also not moving on from a negative experience.

Ask him why is he letting this ex girlfriend have so much control over him. Tell him to man up and stop being a pu**y. Get over it! It’s called online dating. It is easier than ever to meet a single attractive women these days. As his friend you should create him a profile and find him a hot young lady who wants to have fun.

Me either, I can't keep up with this gender fluid generation.

Eventually, you have to cut them loose. You can’t hold onto emotional vampires.

It always amazes me how many so called grown men on this site sit down to pee...

A little more detail would be helpful. Is he acting depressed and still talking about her? If so that's a problem and he needs counseling. If he's just not interested in dating then that's his prerogative.

I think you should probably step away for a little while and not worry so much, let him figure it out. The only thing you have control of is your own thoughts and actions.
