Very true. I don't care what anyone does in the privacy of their own home as long as it isn't harming anyone else.


However, what is happening now is not in Private, but in Public.

There are drastically different rules.

If I want to dress up like a dominatrix hippo in my own house, built for me.

That doesn't mean I should be able to stroll into the local Target with my vibrating nipple clamps on.

That's the damned thing. I don't care what sexual peccadillos you have in private. But my kids are my charge to protect from things they don't need exposure to.

That's why I don't take them to R-rated movies. Or cuss in front of them. Or get sloppy drunk in front of them. Or any manner of things in front of them.

Because they don't need to be exposed to all the screwed up psychosis of the world at a young age. They'll be assaulted with that nonsense soon enough.


So no, your want to dress like a sideshow freak in public does not override my right to protect my kids from your bullshite. You want to be your own special brand of freak, do it in your own home.
