Nah, you just invested enough money to send him to an Ivy League school to get him a degree from SW El Paso State. Sorry, but that’s a retarded arse way of looking at it. As dumb as “my kid ain’t playing year round”.

If your kid is going to play baseball past the age of 11, he will play travel ball. If he’s really good, he probably should play before that. It sucks, and there’s nothing wrong with the OP trying to find a way around it.

It’s not as simple as saying NO. In many cases, that means you will not play baseball in middle school/high school.

My nephew only played rec ball and never even made an all star team. He tried out for his HS team as a 9th grader and made it, saw spot duty as a sophomore, and will probably start as a junior. And it's not a scrub team. They won district last season and made it to the quarterfinals.

If he’s really good, why does he need to play earlier than kids that aren’t as talented. I’m really struggling with the logic in this thread

We signed my step daughter up for fall softball. They practice every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday until the first game, which is Sunday September 9th, the opening weekend of NFL football. The odds I miss her first game are set at %100

congrats on being a shitty loser

I hate to break it to all you travel ball haters, but if your kid plays rec ball and makes all stars, you play all frickin summer, just like travel.

My son has been good enough the last 2 years to make allstars for league ball. His allstar teams have been good enough the last 2 years to make it to the world series. League play starts in march. Once you play league, sub district, district, state, and world series it is august.

We have played both and i cant tell the difference in league and travel kids once you make it to allstar level.

I like the league format because you have to play through their tournaments vs going to find a tournament and one of the 25 world series I can win.
