Quit whining and teach her how to start her own pyramid scheme. Get rich and become a house husband. Host tool parties for your buddies.

It's a result of these women not setting out to accomplish anything for themselves. Maybe they had kids early or just wanted to be kept. Either way, a few years down the road they realize hey have nothing to show for themselves. These companies prey on that. They give these women a feeling of self worth and a title to fill that hole.
Yep. Bored housewife with no job, no self-esteem, sits on the couch all day playing on facebook. Starts to feel guilty about how much of her time is taken up by doing nothing all day. Husband starts giving her a hard time about how much of her time is spent goofing off on her phone while baw works 10 hours in the sun 5x a week, bruising her ego even more.
R+F or It Works! or LuLaRoe swoop in with a recruiting campaign centered around how to "provide for your family" or "earn extra money" just by posting to facebook, something they do all day every day already. Game, set, match. After that, it's all about teaching them to ditch any moral concerns they have about pressuring their family and friends to give them money for cheap shite they don't want or need.
Be a supportive husband. Marry an ambitious wife. Easy way to avoid this crap.

Maybe some women, but you can't lump all housewives into that lump. After being a house mom for 12 years, once my youngest went to school, I decided to go to school and get a degree to start a career. It was hard starting at 30, but I was tired of not having anything of my own, and more importantly if my husband died or anything ,even today, me and my kids are screwed. I had a opportunity to sell this stuff but long term goals were more important to me and not some dead end scheme.

Y'all should've just started a GoFundMe for your trip and linked it to your family and friends on Facebook. It's basically the same thing IMO.
I ain't no fricking fan of the bullshite but I can tell you this. She asked me to share a couple of her FB posts with the promise that every friend of mine(I'm way older) who buys a package is a blowie to completion for me from her(don't get any ideas).
I got two in the last month. Dick's in your butt, pall.

Here's a novel idea...don't buy any. Take a look at the structure where you work. It looks like a pyramid to me also. It's capitalism pure and simple. "Murica

There's a lot more of this in the military communities
Most of the women I know that sell MLM stuff are military wives.
I have one friend that sells R&F that isn’t a military wife and works a full time job(a decent paying one at that). R&F is just extra money she uses to save for trips, etc for her family. And of all the women I know that sell it....she is the least annoying about it. She’s never pushed the products on me when we hang out. Gave me some samples once and that was it. I’ve noticed a big difference in her skin and lashes since she has been using their products. Like I said....I’m sure R&F products are legit....just pricey.

You can never lump 100% of people into something. Your statement supports mine and you bucked the trend. Good for you.

That's what my GF does. She told them from day one she wanted to use the products and sell them. She'd never want to recruit anyone or bother people about it. All she does is make some FB posts about products. Her friends and family are loving the shite. There's no doubt the stuff is good quality but it's equally as over priced for making your face brighter and eye lashes longer(smh for real).
But, my friends being in their 40s have also taken to it with their wrinkly skin.
So when I share her posts(I limit her to two a month) and it's getting me free BJs and she's paid for our Tennessee trip with it, I can't complain at all.

What has the world come to when instead of me being scared of what vulgar things you might comment on my fb posts.....I’m now worried you may tag me in a R&F post

Ok so, if you don't work and get fat gov checks you're a piece of crap?
...if you find a way to make money that fits into your schedule of maintaining the house, kids, etc and you believe in the products you sell, you're a piece of crap also?
some of you people just wake up and think "what can I complain about today?" sad

I get that there are a few people making legit money at this, but it is at the expense of thousands of people losing money.
quote:
The lawsuit against LuLaRoe that was filed on March 23 alleges that LuLaRoe consultants must pay a hefty sum to become a LuLaRoe consultant, with an initial investment of approximately $5,000 to $9,000 — and stated that the LuLaRoe consultants were urged to keep about $20,000 in LuLaRoe inventory on hand at all times. However, that high investment may have paid off for the $1 billion gross revenue-earning LuLaRoe company in 2016, but not the LuLaRoe consultants, who only average $85 per year in commissions.
