Not sure. I work 40 hours a week full time job. Hustle 30 a week part time side business. Private school and college will do it to you to make sure kids have what they need. I don’t know what laziness is

5'9 230 lb "men" on this board that can't walk to the fridge to refill their Big Gulp and grab another Busch without being out of breath?

Exactly! The great expansion of the welfare state, that occurred in the 1960’s, is what created this downward spiral.

Progressives point to Sweden’s welfare state, and say that it is possible there, therefore it is possible here. But Sweden is also spiraling downward - just from a higher starting point (like our white population). The low starting point of black Americans is, as CRT suggests, due to past systemic racism, but the downward trajectory is not.

It is as someone once said, that democracy lasts until the people realize they can vote themselves money from the treasury. We are well into that realization.

The welfare state keeps money moving. They don't save. They spend. It's a way to redistribute your tax dollars to the dollar generals, taco bells, and gas stations in the parts of town you'd never go.

It also keeps them on a concrete island.

I'm not saying I like the current situation, but it does have its upsides.

Washington enacted the Great Society and War on Poverty programs that destroyed the black nuclear family and is now destroying the Hispanic and white on as well, creating a permanent underclass beholden to handouts in exchange for votes?

Interesting.
