One guy has about 15 units and also owns a bar that he hangs out at but never actually works shifts. He collects around $100k a year in video poker alone. The other guy inherited about 30 units and has a management company take care of all the properties. Another friend and his father bought a bunch of real estate after Katrina—most are section 8 and he has a crew that manages them for him.
