2003 While hanging a lock-On TreeStand my safety belt connection strap broke and I fell 20', I was using climbing sticks so I know exactly how high I was.
I suffered a hairline Fracture in my shoulder, whiplash, separated 3 ribs near sternum and 4 near bottom of ribcage. That was brutal pain for 3 weeks, it hurt to breathe.
One of the Dr's told me that at 20' I was extremely lucky to be walking and that my injuries were not nearly as bad as most who have fallen from that height.
I guess I was fortunate it was a pine tree that I was on and that a smaller pine that I fell through helped slow my fall some, not really.
The act of falling did not happen in slow mo like I've heard people claim. It fricking happened in a blink, and bam, on the ground.
I Jumped up and was like what the frick just happened, threw my gear off, started checking myself over, drank some water to spit out, make sure wasn't blood, then after a min later the pain started setting in and could lift my arm. Walked to four wheeler drove to my father's stand and told him to get the frick down and take me to hospital.
I had C-Spin fusion surgery in 2011, Dr said was directly related to the fall, just took 8 years to get to where I couldn't tolerate it anymore, I was 40 when surgery, it bother me now above and below the fusion. Some days I wish someone would just chop off my head because kneck hurts constantly and can't sleep. frick me, can't even get pain killers anymore either

Threw a pint of gas on a smoldered fire at 6 years old!

Got smoked by a 1980s style woody station wagon. Then I tried to walk it off, that didn’t go very well! Open compound fracture on my left leg.

Dislocating pinkie finger twice, required surgery to repair motor tendon. Dislocated as in middle digit side by side with first digit. First time volleyball, second time football.

I made a perfect form tackle in sixth grade. Broke my shoulder and dislocated it. It gave me trouble in wrestling and football during high school. I’ve still got an instability where it pops a little.
I’m 46 and I’ve never been hospitalized for anything or had to be cut open. Knock on wood.

Someone ran into the back of my truck while I was stopped and my back has been jacked up ever since.
