That was lucky. People do live on the island.

Here is a video he made on YouTube before he died. It is pretty cool and the comments are amazing, not a single hateful one and tons of love from pilots: LINK

I don’t know why but I have literally been laughing at this for 5-10 minutes.

Redundancy is common with modern flight systems too.

I have limited flight hours so I'm speaking from very little experience. The whole getting up and going part and being in the air in calm conditions is not hard at all. Now landing I've never attempted and I assume that is the challenging part, along with monitoring instruments/maintaining coms/looking out for hazards (doing all that stuff together in a safe manner while operating the aircraft.)

Bruh this dude did a loop-d-loop. He didn’t just get in the air.

I knew a guy that never flew a plane before, started drinking one day and decided to steal his sons plane and take it for an hour joyride. Beside cracking a piece of landing gear he did fine. He said he watched his son do it and thought it didn't look so hard.

dammit I used to know the procedure for the KA by heart. Sucks to get old.

Props forward, throttles idle, batt on, battery check, gen switch to start, fuel forward at 10%, monitor engine parameters then gen switch to on around 50%.

, I always figured if you got a commercial aircraft in a roll it was just gonna auger in.

they roll just fine, and if you know what you're doing , it can be done with little to no load on the wings

This story has just flipped me out. I want to feel sorry for the guy, but dude went out like a boss and became an instant legend.

Watching him roll that thing against that backdrop was seriously poetic for me. One of the craziest, coolest, saddest, most radical moments I've ever seen.

The Rich Roll blows the doors off any stunt ever pulled

Cant wait for the movie

'Tex' Johnson proved that years ago.
