Just want to know how unpleasant it is.
I had a rough go of it.
I ended up getting at least four injections during the procedure because I could still "feel" what the doctor was doing the entire time. The doctor at one point asked if I wanted to stop due to the pain and I said there is no way I am coming back to do this, finish it up.
In the end, I'm glad I did it. But, I would not do it again if I had to face this choice at a much younger age.

Dont forget to ask for something to calm you down before hand. I was pretty nervous with a dude around my sack. Gave me a happy pill and everything was fine.

If youre not being put under for the procedure, the doctor should give you a valium before they start to calm your nerves.

Just had one yesterday. I’m MAYBE a little sore today. Doc gave me meds to prepare with so the shot wasn’t even an issue. I have made a point to only get out my recliner to use the bathroom. So I’m not pushing it. With the insurance I have, which isn’t the best, only cost me $70 out of pocket. Best $70 I’ve ever spent.
Now, a week of NNN, then 20 times to confirm sterilization.

Can confirm. Got a Valium and a norco to take before, never an issue. Didn’t feel anything.

Same here, he was tugging on something and my God it hurt. My wife said she enjoyed seeing that after she gave birth to 3 kids. All in all, it was worth it, and I would do it again.

I couldn't let the wife watch. The biggest issue I had during the procedure was the TWO super hot nurses in the room. That was a little awkward.

Seconded. My wife, no pics and in the medical field, was fascinated lol.

The pain really isn't bad, and my insurance paid 100% aside from my $20 co-pay and the few dollars I had left to meet my deductible. Much cheaper than neutering my dog.

Mine waited in the waiting room. I don't think it was an option for her to come into the room with me at the same time, because the room was small.
Yes, the end result was worth it. I just wish my body would have responded better to the numbing medicine. It didn't and that sucked. Changed my outlook on ever recommending it to anyone.

Totally worth the free Nintendo Switch.

And you don't have to wear the cone of shame for a week.

Last paragraph
quote:
Overall, the rate of such diagnoses was about 60% higher among the men who had been sterilized. These widely-reported studies rekindled earlier fears of a possible prostate-cancer risk and no doubt convinced some men to avoid the operation or to have it reversed if they had already gone through with it. Four earlier studies also suggested a link between prostate cancer and vasectomy. Seven other reports, however, have found no connection. Several studies even indicate that men who undergo vasectomy live longer than other men. Many researchers believe that the Harvard studies' findings are simply the result of earlier and better diagnosis of prostate cancer among sterilized men rather than due to an actual increased risk of the cancer.

One thing to consider is you can't go to Heaven if you get a vasectomy.

I woke up putting my keys in the car door. No idea how I got dressed and out to the parking lot.
Have them put you under. You don't want to be awake for it.

How could you ever let anyone sap and impurify your precious bodily fluids?

Not bad at all. Wish I did it 5 yrs sooner
