By investing, it doesn't take long before you know it you will have a bag of cat turds.

this makes it basically universal

What percent of the population gets this added benefit?

Universal has a much much different meaning. The extra unemployment is welfare.

Bingo, it's not even remotely universal. Maybe less than 10% of the population benefits.

right, sure.

the $400 boost in unemployment is just a targetted UBI. not everyone qualifies, but its here to stay - thats the key point, i dont think its going away after August

U = universal. Its welfare.

To even include universal, it would have no boundaries.

I'm definitely a hodler, but at some point I would have to sell and then buy back in after the crash.

People are already pushing this shite. It will eventually happen.

No cars, no ownership of anything. Just huge, vast tracts of brutalist housing and buses.

75% of the country will be standing in bread lines. But UBI sounds nice and we all love nice.

Take some profits along the way, no issue with getting your skin out of the game if you can.

I’m sort of a crypto evangelical though. The kind of guy that thinks the very idea of fiat currency has the potential to die in my lifetime.

I think it’s more probable fiat and crypto find a coexistence, but nobody really knows. I definitely feel crypto is the superior store of value for the long haul and think it will expedite my retirement by DCA from here to some unknown date in the future.

If the same people are drawing years from now, absolutely.

Until then it's just a handout.

UBI will be a thing, but its a ways off. When we do get UBI, it simply means we will be slaves to the State at that point and few jobs exist. We will live in massive concrete apartment blocks, all wear and look the same.

Hope it is years before implementation.

I hope I'll be long since dead. I agree that I think it will happen though.

If everyone embraced the idea of a well funded UBI (using a VAT) it would be awesome for the country.

You sweet summer child. UBI and VAT will be means tested. It's a marxist wet dream.
