Automatic withholding should be illegal.
People should have to stroke a check to the government every month (and every adult pays - even if it's only $100). You bet you arse people will start caring about taxation and spending.

2021 paid around 15k in taxes.
2022 paid 13k
2023 paid 4k.
After 21 and 22 had additional taxes taken out and STILL had to pay the mofos 4k in 23.

The ole lady is self employed we play about $20k in quarterly taxes.
