It's not the executives driving those trucks around.

The Cowboys are in Arlington.
At least the Texans are in Houston.
Per Google
23 minutes from downtown Dallas to Jerry world.
14 minutes from downtown Houston to NRG
Slight advantage Houston, but NRG is in the ghetto so we can call it a wash.
Plus with the new rangers ballpark and entertainment district, Dallas will win again.

Good point, but not much farther south you don’t have those winds.
The northern burbs get a ton of wind. It's annoying as frick.

People in Texas aren't gonna ignore a thread about places in Texas.

Why? Minute Maid is awesome and right in the middle of downtown bars, restaurants, and discovery green.
You're counting a win for something that doesn't exist yet, and the current situation is a giant L.

You live in the woodlands.. not even in Houston
My experience- houston is better if you like diversity and better food. Must live inside the 610 loop. More laid back people
Dallas- if you’re into burbs, snobby people, every dallas person has to let you know that they hate Houston.
Nobody I know in Houston cares about Dallas or the people
I travel to dallas a lot for work and I lived in uptown.

And you don't like that area??? That and Kingwood are my favorite burbs. Awesome places to raise a family.
Honestly, I do like the immediate area. However, there's a significant amount of crime happening way too close for comfort. I live in a gated community and still feel the need to have security cameras. That was never a thought in my mind when I was in Austin.
There's constant break ins, robberies, drug bust, shootings, you name it. Just this morning I saw posted in our neighborhood group that a van pulled up to some kids walking to school trying to lure them in. That was in the front of our neighborhood, a mile away from my house. Yes, it can happen anywhere but I've never seen things happen as frequently or as close to home as I've seen since living here.
That's my number 1 hangup with Houston. That and it rains every damn day.

Yea, frick this winter! Dreary and humid during the week, wet and cold every damn weekend. This weather pattern has been bullshite.

Both are large enough that any person can find their niche and live their version of a great life. Both cities also have their share of drawbacks. Primarily the outdoors IMO.

You should move back to Austin then. Life is too short

Different strokes for different folks. You couldn't pay me to live inside the 610 loop. No way in hell, too many people, too congested. Just look around, it looks like shite. Dirty, nasty, ghetto everywhere. Obviously there's exceptions to that.
I personally would prefer to live further out than I do. However, I have to live within a certain proximity of the airport for my wifes travel and I have to drive into the med center periodically.
If I could have it my way, I'd live out on Lake Conroe. Probably on the north side without a neighbor in sight.

Yeah I love that area. I'm talking about Jerry world vs NRG though.
The area around NRG is ghetto. Jerry world is right next to the rangers ballpark, therefore right next to the entertainment district they're building along with the new ballpark.

Your post is so full of stupidity. You stupid fricks and your infatuation with truck nuts.
I have lived in the Houston for 23+ years working in the oil and gas business and can say that I have probably only seen truck nuts a few times. I know more people who aren’t in O&G than people who are in it.

Half the people in this thread have probably never been to either city or it’s suburbs

You could never pay me enough to move to the burbs where you live. You must hang out in disgusting places.
Midtown, heights, river oaks, rice village, and downtown are far from dirty
I bet you are super fun to hang out with. I live inside the loop and it takes me less than 30 to get anywhere.
It’s people that live in the burbs that cause all the traffic

I've never heard this and don't spend much time in the burbs or around snobby people.
More people in Dallas hate on fort worth than Houston.
