My brother in law was at the scene all day yesterday. Apparently after the helicopter went down life flight helicopter came in and thugs started shooting guns at life flight. But they got their asses last night.

One officer dead on the crash and survivor has some severed nerves impacting him from the waste down, but no spinal chord severing so hopefulnhe can recover.

I work with a guy who rappelled from helicopters in the military, and asked him how frightening that was. He said it at least got you out of the helicopter and that was a big plus.

Yes and no. When I was stationed at Fort Irwin the winds in the mountains there were gnarly. We flew OH-58’s and we would constantly be flying the envelope with LTE. One time I did 2 spins and recovered.

As long as you are proactive it’s recoverable. However if this was caused by severance of the tail rotor drive shaft that’s a whole different story.

I flew AH-64s and OH-58s for 10 years in the Army. Your friend is a drama queen.
