Any suggestions for route to travel into Houston tomorrow from Lake Charles? Leaving Lake Charles around 10:00 AM.

Waze it when you’re ready to go.
Preferably after you’ve topped off the gas tank.

Waze isn't the best in these situations because it makes someone the Guinea pig to see if it's a faster route. Usually that means sending you down a road that's closed bc technically there's no traffic.

Is 10’still closed? If so is it open in Beaumont? If so see if 90 is open. If so take the Liberty/college dr exit and head west. You can stay on that or hit 1960 I Dayton. This will get you to Humble and then hop on 59 south.
Again I am unsure the status of 90 or 10.
Edit: it appears 90 is closed in China.

I made it to I-10 in Beaumont from Houston via 90. There was a spot in "China" that we all went through about 4 inches of water for a mile. Cars were making it.
Unfortunately, it looked like the water was pushing north across the road so idk if it's back flowing or not

News said 9 barges broke loose and damaged the bridge at the San Jacinto River in east Houston. Both EB and WB lanes of I-10 closed until further notice. Detour through Baytown. The last time this happened it took months to repair the bridge.

ABC 13 Link to video
This video shows the barges stuck under the bridge.
Based on the video the West bound lanes are fricked for a long time.

I-10W still closed in LA right before the TX border at LA-109.
No clue why, didn't see any water on the Westbound side as I traveled east

In Louisiana that would take 2 years to fix
Texas will do it in 2 months

Not sure after seeing the pictures.
It somewhat appears as if eh bridge deck is leaning. Not sure if it is just the angle of the video/pictures though.
