A/C keeps tripping the breaker. Started doing this 3 days ago and is irritating to say the least. When you flip the breaker back on it runs like a champ and cools down fine. But it trips early on in the day and it gets pretty hot in the house and takes a while to catch up at night.

Would this be an a/c repair guy call or an electrician?

I've used 1 hour heating & repair a few times. Fast and friendly service both times.

Appreciated! They're coming between 5-7pm tonight! Not entirely sure if it's an A/C problem though.

I had this issue with my old air conditioner. The compressor ( outside unit) was old and they ac guy told me that it draws more load as it gets older and therefore will eventually trip the breaker. He replaced the contacts and something else and it lasted a few more months. It eventually broke and I had to replace it.
Not sure how old your ac unit is though.

Good deal, I think they have a sister company that does electric work.

3 yrs old. I'm starting to think it might just be the breaker. I'm still going to have them look at it tonight though just in case. Is going to do some preventative maintenance while he's there.

Make sure they check the start components of the compressor. For example start relay and start capacitor also the run capacitor.

Most AC guys do electrical work too. Calling an AC guy was the right call.
