All this. It's annoying. I was watching a show on TV last week with a female lawyer who had a strong southern accent. I wanted to throw a shoe through my TV screen.

There is no "Southern" accent. There's the hillbilly twang (very irritating), but there's also the softer Scarlett O'Hara lilt, which everyone likes.
Holly Hunter (from a suburb of Atlanta) has a very annoying accent IRL, but for most of her roles she softens it

Any accent with a funny/intelligent personality will do but I like cajun or any French/Spanish concoction.

I broke up with a woman for her Tennessee accent. It was cute for about 2 weeks, then I wanted to get off the phone, stuff my ears, shut her up FAST!!! Shame too, she was hot and really really sweet. With a different, or no, accent she mighta been a keeper.
