We are staying in 50 NYC in midtown east. Very near Grand Central and was nice the last time we went.
We ate dinner at Babbo and ABC Kitchen and both were incredible. Recommend lunch at the Dutch. This time we are planning on Grammercy Tavern, Cosme, Mission Chinese (if we can get a reso) and the prix fixe lunch at the Nougatine at Jean-Georges

Where?
$410k, Midtown West 1 BR

It's not huge, but it's better than a studio, also pretty typical for Manhattan.

We are looking at 2 bedrooms right now. Enough to give me a heart attack.

Check prices on the Tuscany St. Giles hotel on E39 about three blocks south of Grand Central. We stayed a few years back when it was a W Hotel along with The Court next door. Boutique hotel in residential area but convenient. Corner room very large by NY standards. Last time I checked their prices had gone up but compare to Grand Hyatt.
