For sale.

Who goes there?

Is it an infallible magnet of pilgrimage ( because I don´t see it being marketed as anything else)?

I was just offered a hotel there.

Put 3 or 4 houses on it instead.

Honestly, if you are white, stay out of Selma.
Just being honest here.
Don't get mad at me.

The Holiday Inn there is always packed and I must say pretty nice. A lot of contractors usually there working at the papermill and Bush Hog. Usually a lot of hunters there in January too which is why I’m usually there.

Take this from someone who understands what you’re getting into- if you’re so clueless about the hotel industry that you’re asking the OT Lounge to explain why you should buy a hotel, you shouldn’t even remotely consider buying that hotel. You’re getting in way over your head and you’re going to lose every penny you put into it

I'm not asking anything, I'm amazed that someone who knows me would offer me this. Amazed. China virus times, I guess.

Thought it humorous.

The St. James. It’s (was) a beautiful building, right on the waterfront. I worked in Selma for 25 years and have been there many times through the years, mostly to eat when the restaurant was open. It’s a relic of what was once a vibrant city. What’s happening in Selma now is heartbreaking. If they gave me that hotel I would give it back.

Worked a shutdown there and stayed at a pretty seedy hotel. Went to the desk and saw a can of Budweiser in a flower pot at 10 in the morning and was like wtf?! Then remembered I was in Alabama Their Zaxby’s is pretty good though

Round Rock, Texas has a Zaxby’s that doesn’t maintain the standards we’ve grown to appreciate. But otherwise, no.
