Not sure about LA but in TX you have to worry about Common Law if you do this.
Common Law marriages are not recognized in LA. As long as no kids are in the equation, she is little more than a guest in your house.
Married for 27 years. Divorced for 11. Damned if I will do that again. Have two great adult kids. No need to make a third one to frick with their inheritance.
As another poster noted, I am not going to enter into another lifelong legally binding contract only to risk losing half of what I bust my arse for that is considered community property beginning at the point the marriage license is signed. I survived one divorce thankd to having a damned good lawyer. Too hesitant to take that chance a second time.

You know I wonder how the woman in the OP looks at women that has managed to stay happily married and in love with their husbands for more than 10-15 years while staying reasonably attractive and in shape and having plenty of money on their own.
It's likely something she doesn't understand, it's called being emotionally mature, having a stable personality and having a career worth a shite that enables her to not be dependent on a man.
Dude, I can promise you that these women I just described that suffered at her hands in high school and college take far more pleasure in seeing the downfall of this woman than you are right now and do more to kick her while she's down.

Isn't that the standard for all divorced women?
They go through a serious whore phase, do they not
Does this apply to widows?
Because I know a woman doing just this right now. It's just beyond sad and depressing to watch her hopping from random dick to another after a tragedy.

Also, in Alabama, if married more than 10 years they’ll get half your retirement/401K/IRA/etc. I dodged that bullet.

This sounds like my ex wife. Her child support paycheck is ending 7-20-18.
Trying to find her another sugar daddy now.

Perhaps she will wind up selling fruit underneath the interstate......

The one good thing about FB is that it really exposes the crazies.. I don't have an account, but people tell when someone I know, post some crazy shite.
Every several weeks this girl I know, who is 1 or 2 years older than I (which puts her in her early 40s) will post about some new guy she met. And it's the same pattern. She mets this guy, he seems like the perfect guy, her life is wonderful with him in it.. And then for weeks she doesn't post anything..
Recently, she posted something about some guy who she thought was her cousin since they were young, but recently learned they are not related and they are going on a date.. A few days later she was asking people where was a good place to get a tattoo because she wanted to get his named tattooed on her arm.
Then posted that she scratched something off of her bucket list... Dancing in the rain. When the two were riding together a song they both liked came on so he parked on side of the road, they got out and danced on side of it. A few days after that she just stopped posting.
How do people get to be that type of crazy?

You’re right about that. Doesn’t take long to figure out who the train wrecks are.

The Facebook crazies all botox's up and with their duck face pics just screams crazy. Oh and their friends comments like "So beautiful!" or you go girl.
Don't miss my crazy ex one bit.

I had a date last night with a woman I met on Match.
I’m 53, she’s 38.
She mentioned within half an hour that she’s broke because she’s a stay at home mom.
Bitch, if you’re in it for the money, at least be a little more subtle.
By the way - I was married for 20 years. My ex could have gotten alimony until I turned 65. But, she settled for a larger amount for a shorter period.
I’ve got 9 payments left! Damn I hate writing that check but I sure like knowing I’m one check closer to being done.

Posted on 6/1/18 at 10:04 pm to FLBooGoTigs1
You’ll have to post and let me know how it feels.
My check is more than half of my taken home base (after maxing out my 401k/FSA)

I will post the day I look at my pay and there is no more child support deduction. You will know it. Been almost 10 years.

Married 10 years (in Alabama at least) means she gets half her ex's shite... Sounds like she got paid and is now getting her bad boy frick on.
How does this work (in Alabama) when the son and daughter divorce each other and their parents die? Do they split everything evenly?
