I thought emergency vehicles had something to change the signal lights to green?

Remember that story of that guy who bought one of those and used it for a few years before they caught him. He was singlehandedly messing up traffic patterns for everyone else

Umm. No. It’s not a freeway at all. It’s lights every block for like 10 miles. Maybe more.

It's technically a parkway but people haul arse on it and it's 3 lanes wide with cars entering from side streets and parking lots. You routinely see people doing 60+ mph on it. Especially where this accident happened which was between 249 and 290.

Didn't pay attention to the intersection but an ambulance was going east on 1960 towards the hospital with I assume someone in the back. A Lexus SUV pulled out from a side street and the Ambulance absolutely flattenned it right across the front. First emergency people to arrive was a firetruck. They were cutting the driver out the Lexus out when we finally got through the intersection.

The driver of the at-fault vehicle jumped out of the car and ran from the scene, but witnesses said they were able to take pictures of the suspect before he fled, investigators said.

Assuming this is the same wreck unless another SUV but an ambulance. Also assuming this SUV was stolen or driver was drunk.
