This is scary but at least you are there with your wife. What if she had gone alone with the children? I think the news exposure increases your chances for getting what you need to get through this. Wow, y’all’s life is going to be very different either way because you’ll still be quarantined away from home, for an unknown amount of time. That will be a challenge.

How about you exit yourself. Nurse has posted diligently throughout this thread to share medical insight and correct misinformation. It’s imperative that data shared is as up to date and accurate as possible, especially since we have a TD poster there who is depending on this site for information.

Just want to say that when I hear about all these interviews with major news outlets, in my mind they are actually referring to him as “Honkus,” and that’s kind of funny.

The kids were 7 and 10 years old.
This graph doesn’t show one of the most important findings of this report. The ten year old showed no symptoms but the doctors did a scan because the parents were “nervous” and the kid showed lung involvement. Blood test showed the kid was carrying the virus. The younger kid did not catch the virus because they were complaint with the mother’s demand to wear a face mask.

Patient 5 was later confirmed virologically to have an asymptomatic infection. Although asymptomatic patients with SARS were uncommon, they were documented in our retrospective study in the minor 2004 SARS outbreak after reopening of the wildlife market in Guangzhou.17 Notably, patients 3 and 4 were afebrile at presentation to our hospital.These cryptic cases of walking pneumonia might serve as a possible source to propagate the outbreakFurther studies on the epidemiological significance of these asymptomatic cases are warranted.
