re: Good game Tigers
Posted by McKinneyTiger on 11/30/25 at 9:31 am to Sooners74
I made the drive up from DFW and I am glad I did.
Had a blast. Cold but beautiful day. Exciting game right up till the end.
Every OU fan we met was friendly and welcoming.
Good luck in the playoffs.

Took my daughter to work (grocery store) around 7:00 am.
Slick but not terrible yet. I expect the roads will get worse as more people drive and pack it down.
Saw a few trees down and tons of branches down.

not based on that flightaware link pasted a few pages ago. Shows the flight landing at SFO 2 hours ago.
Are we sure that was the diplomatic flight?
Granted, there probably aren't too many flights out of Wuhan to California right now. But, the article I saw specifically mentioned the Ontario, CA airport and said the flight was expected tomorrow morning.
Evidently Ontario airport has been identified as a "repatriation" site for a decade or so and has held training simulations in the past.

ONT was designated by the federal government as an official repatriation center for the West Coast about a decade ago, and county departments have participated in a number of preparedness exercises with state and federal agencies over the years, the county said.

When I read this it made me smile and sit up a little straighter...
Godspeed to you, your family and the other Americans traveling on the plane.

I won't be surprised if it ends up one of the bounty hunters shot his partner as well as the guy they were trying to capture.

Frogg Toggs - Good or Bad?
Posted by McKinneyTiger on 5/3/17 at 2:43 pm
Anybody here have experience with Frogg Toggs rain gear.
The reviews on Amazon run from great to garbage.
Specifically looking at the Men's Bull Frogg Signature75 Jacket and either the Men's Bull Frogg Signature75 HD Pant or Men's Pro Advantage Bibs.
More concerned with protection from rain or wind, not as worried about cold weather. I am uh.. fairly well insulated...
Thanks,
-MT.

Gulf Shores Fishing Charter Recommendation?
Posted by McKinneyTiger on 3/6/17 at 10:44 am
My family and are in Gulf Shores for this week.
Anybody have any recommendations on a fishing guide/charter. There are just 3 of us so either a small boat or one that takes multiple groups. We are probably only thinking a half day or so.
Any thoughts or recommendations appreciated.

Best route in to NRG Stadium - Red Lot?
Posted by McKinneyTiger on 12/24/15 at 5:07 pm
We are parking at the Red Lot at NRG Stadium for the Bowl Game. We are coming in from the west on I-10.
Google Maps & NRG Park directions show us taking I-10 to I-610, exiting at Main Street or Fannin Street and approaching the stadium from the south.
But the Parking map seems to imply we should be approaching the stadium area from the north (i.e. south bound on Main Street, turning left onto McNee Road).
What do the Houston folks recommend.
Thanks in advance,
-MT
