I hope they leave Infiniti alone. My Redsport is my favorite car I’ve ever owned.

Same.

And, hopefully, Nissan will keep some sedans under the Infiniti badge

That's harsh, but they will have the best in-car tech of any vehicle from the 90s.

This thread isn’t about Toyota

True.

Honda tech is marginally better.

Say what you will, but my Nissan Altima 4 cylinder cars are economical and have been extremely reliable.

I hope this merger will save Nissan.

I like the look of the Altima. I understand that the majority of CVTs in Nissan have caused many an issue, and you can't disregard that.

That said, I found that of the "big 3" --- Nissan, Toyota, and Honda -- Nissan always offered the most bang for your buck and generally speaking offered a great interior.

As a Honda brand loyalist it concerns me that reliability will suffer.

Thats going to happen anyway as Japanese work culture dies out, which is an inevitability as their people grow old and die out. With their youth not marrying and reproducing, you're going to see a majority of Japanese companies disappear in the next 25 years as their population implodes.

Nissan's biggest issue has been that damn cvt they tried to shove into every vehicle that came out of their factories. Other than my cvt failure, I have had great success with all the Altimas I have owned.

The 2.5 engine has also been bullet proof. Nissan should advertise the fact that so many of their 15 year old Altimas are still on the road dispute being driven by a certain group that probably seldom does any oil changes or preventative service.

My current 2016 with over 140k has had no issues.. Every button, switch and feature still works oerfectly and it gets an overall mpg of 38. No complaints other than that pesky damn cvt failure.
