So dudes shooting testosterone with needless bought at the local feed & seed. Wow, seriously that's depressing.

Read about that. While working in Recovery Room, I was giving a man an IM morphine injection in lateral thigh. I aspirated and got a syringe full of blood. I will never not aspirate again, unless it's subcutaneous. That one dose of morphine was much higher than what would be given IV and if I hadn't aspirated, well...

So due to the unavailability of the proper size needle at the drugstore you go pickup a larger needle intended for use on animals at the feed store?

They sell them in the same sterile packaging. I'm not purchasing the ones not in packaging. Funny thing is, the feed store pins are sharper. Prefer them if the price wasn't so high @ 50/c ea.

Dude, it might be time to take a serious introspective look at your priorities and goals.

Before coming here I knew shtt would be thrown but who cares. I have not taken a drink of alcohol in nearly 2yrs or smoked my entire life. I'm solid with these choices countering with some good with my anti-southern lifestyle.

Just to give some insight into a world you know little of, this is not only common but one of the main ways to get clean darts.

Sometimes places turn you away. I'm not a junkie but IMO its safer for public health to sale clean pins. Ppl looking to shoot up will find a way to shoot up. Not selling clean needles to them won't stop them from getting would they desire. You will always have a certain percentage of society which lives a lifestyle looked down on by others. If you are truly concern in protecting those who come into contact with past users who have cleaned up, don't make it an issue to get sterile supplies.

If you injected into where you say you did, it's likely a very small collateral vessel. Hold pressure for a little bit and see how it looks. Might be a little sore but there's no major arteries in the area you're talking about. As was stated earlier, watch for hematoma and check your BP if you can a little later. Seriously doubt you hit anything of major significance with a 1 and 1/2" needle

Not drinking or smoking are good choices. Those good choices don't making seeking guidance from TD about the unusually large amount of blood shooting out of your thigh from self administered injections any better.

Hey we can't make all the right choices can we?

Sometimes Google is hard. As stated earlier I rather take shtt than dive deep in some random freak out thread.

Honestly, I'm really not trying to give you a hard time. I would make the same observations to family or friends that said the same things as you. Just sounds crazy from where I'm sitting but I'm no MD.
