This was the Derailer tank. This was the downfall of General "Bloodbath" Mcgrath. Circa 1999

It's widely regarded as perhaps the worst firearm to ever see the battlefield. It would jam incessantly.

Hey, a gun I know!
It is a French WWI machine gun called the Chauchat. The open magazine let it get contaminated with mud and thus it performed very poorly in the trenches.

For example, I've got well over 100 books on aviation and naval history and I've read most anything I can get my hands on about those topics since I was old enough to read (46 now). When other kids were drawing cars and trucks, I was drawing Vought Corsairs.
Me too. A ton of books, models, etc. I was drawing P-51s, though.
That was a very good book. Another one that needs to be read is The ShipThat Would Not Die.

I drew F14 Tomcats and A10 Thunderbolts

You got it.
Let's switch gears a bit....
What is this ship known in history for?
When did this ship meet it's fate?
What event overshadowed this ships fate?

Following the air war, who is this guy and what is he known for?
Another pic, may make it easier...

When I was a kid, my mom was the secretary for a WWII USMC Corsair pilot. Any time she'd take me by her work it was Corsairs everywhere so it was Corsairs and the PTO for me.

Sultana was a sidewheeler steamer used to ferry former POWs back home at the end of the Civil war.
It caught fire and burned on the Mississippi in April 1865, killing 2,500 people.
Somebody interrupting a play in DC stole the headlines from the disaster.

How in the hell did you know that?

Bingo. She ranks as the worst maritime disaster in American history. But due to the fact that Lincoln was assassinated the day before, the media and the nation as a whole barely paid this event any attention.

At first I thought it was the Idaho - she was a sidewheeler, too.
Then I saw the name, big as life.
I'll give others a chance.

From the fire. I've been a volunteer firefighter for 16 years. The Sultana disaster is one of the nation's most historic fires and is referenced in tons of training materials.

yeah I stated to try and find a picture of her without her name showing but then it would have been virtually impossible to get it since most riverboats at that time look a lot alike. That's why I just asked what made her famous instead of asking her name.
This one may be too easy....
1. Name of this pistol?
2. Country of Origin?
3. Most famous person to die by this pistol?

I took a picture at a monument for that ship.
Greatest maritime disaster ever in the US, like 2,000 people died. It was severly overloaded because it was carrying people back from the war.
I think it happened the day before or after Lincoln was shot, so it is merely a footnote in History, even though the loss of life was so great.
There is a memorial in Memphis or west Memphis I think to it.
