We use to go out there in HS hoping to see ghost

I just read that they used to see the ghost of Holt constantly. They also said they saw a lot of Union soldier ghosts. I guess these were all the guys that died of yellow fever.

Any recent sightings?

Sounds kinda similar to a place right outside of Florence, AL called the Forks of Cypress.

Forks of Cypress - Wikipedia

House in 1935

All that was left after it burned down in 1966 were the columns

The main road to get there back in the day was creepy as hell at night. It is a curvy, twisty 2 lane road that the cover from the trees on both sides of the road completely cover the road. It is almost like driving through a covered bridge. Once you get close to the property you had to cross Ghost Bridge; a really creepy one lane bridge. We used to frick with people and drive about halfway across the bridge and kill the car and act like it wouldn't crank up again.

Ghost Bridge

The bridge was torn down several years ago. It was always rumored around the area that Satanists held rituals on the ruins of the Forks of Cypress.
