I think as a body of work it suffers lyrically, not necessarily musically.

There's a lot of truth to this, but with cars coming with Sirius/XM standard now, all you have to do is turn it to Octane or Liquid Metal.

Turbo is launching on Monday. Similar to octane but slightly older music

Hip hop didn't create this. America has been fascinated with bad boys long before hip hop.

Unless I'm missing something, I think it's channel 314, but Turbo already exists, and it's 90s/00s Rock. It's great.

Maybe. But hip hop popularized it in a vulgar way. The bad boys of the 30s and 40s were shown in a much different light

My bad. It's the same one, but it's moving to the 40's with the other rock stations on Monday.
I wasn't able to listen to it on 314 but will on Monday

I don't understand this. I guess they were shown in that white light.

Glad you mentioned that or I probably would have thought it just disappeared

What hip hop songs were popular in 1973?

My 11 year old kid finished rock camp today. He played drums on a cover of "Crazy Train' by Black Sabbath, "You Can Go Your Own Way" by Fleetwood Mac, played bass on "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" by The Beatles, bass on "Jesus Just Left Chicago' by ZZTop, and sang" I Want to Be Sedated" by the Ramones and "Song 2" by Blur.
I want to go to Rock Camp!
