I’ll just fly. I’d rather give it to United. And that’s saying something.

Is the time and extra money for a lawyer worth it for a ticket that you will more than likely have to pay anyway worth it? If so go for it, or just pay it and move on.

If it reduces how much money goes into their system, yes it’s 100% worth it.

I really don’t want to. I hate the idea of giving them money for this collect and serve attitude. I’d pay a lawyer double just to spite them at this point.

Listen to this: Pay it and move on. I speak from experience with getting a ticket there. Nothing will be gained nor will change by you bucking the system there. You will lose time, money, some of your sanity and a good chunk of your faith in humanity having to deal with that cluster of a jurisdiction.

I’ve thought about it. I’m not even sure what the court date is now with this letter that just completely ignores the date on the ticket. Also, then I would have to drive back over there which is 6.5 hrs each way.

A quick google search and found their online ticket portal in about 10 seconds.

From my perspective, you would be better off paying it. That’s a lot of aggravation and time that you could been dealing with

I found that too. My ticket wouldn’t show up. I had to call to get the info. Luckily, I was able to understand the worker since I’ve spent most of my life in Louisiana. Anyone else would have had issues.

I just wanna give a lawyer 2X the ticket cost and not have to do anything. I’d rather them spend it on hookers and blow than support the collect and serve culture. I got one online quote from one of the earlier posts that was about 2.8X. I’m going to sleep on it.

Just call the court and do an act 182. Take the online divers course and be done with it. It’s the same cost as the ticket more than likely and won’t hit your insurance.

Is that a thing in Ms? I’d probably take that to alleviate the hassle.

Or maybe just roll the dice and never go back to Mississippi. Idk if Texas gives a frick about what Ms thinks or not. Or if Mississippi is competent enough to notify.

They would issue a warrant for your arrest. If you ever had to have a background check done it’s going to show up. The fees and fines will add up and you will eventually pay 5x what the ticket costs. But you can always roll the dice.

Yes call the court and let them know you would prefer the driver diversion program.
