In BR, it's rained off and on since early Saturday. Not sure about the St. Francisville area. And now the winds are picking up.

Told you last night. I'm just across the river from that. Dumped 6.37" out the gauge.

Was told Hmy 10 is close too!

The whole Thompson Creek water shed area got 6+ inches of rain last night from Centerville Ms down.

Last August the creek never topped Hwy 10 but did this morning.

Wife works that way.

Give me your expert opinion on when we can expect 61 to reopen.

That drains pretty slow right there because that swampy area just to the north is what floods and covers the road. South bound will open first. Just monitor W.Fel EOC Facebook for updates.

I'd guess a few hours

Bridge division of DOTD said both 61 and 10 overtopped.

Clinton is performing water rescues and has opened shelter.

Over 10 inches is expected

My gravel road in Wilson didn't wash away last year during the flood. This morning it was almost impassable. It sounded like WW3 here in east Feliciana last night. It's the worst I've ever heard bad weather.

Also.... I've never seen this much water in some of the hills up here. Baton Rouge needs to pay attention. This water is headed your way!

Yea there are several. I'm talking about a small area right by Thomson Creek. There is a small bridge about 300 yards north of the actual bridge that goes over the creek. That small bridge crossed over a large low lying area that usually holds water. The road itself is also a little lower in that spot as you can see from the picture. The creek pushes into there forcing the water up and over the road.

Even James Spann here in Alabama retweeted that.

He retweets hundreds of tweets every day.

Thompson Creek bridge @ Hwy 10 is open.
Water dropped fast. Probably 15'-20' beneath bridge now.
