It’s funny because I can see this happening to a lot of incoming freshmen. Happens every year!

I personally enjoyed the cash gifts. It paid for a lot of my college supplies, books, food and just entertainment money.

Part of my graduation gift was a laptop which was great.

My son had a school iPad for high school so I got him a laptop and a monogrammed laptop bag.

When I graduated high school, my graduation present was luggage.

It's not even a Rodney Dangerfield joke. It's a true story.

Nice luggage too, I still have it and use it 20+ years later.

Maybe an iPad or a Surface Pro. Something they could use in class to take notes.

My Aunt & Uncle gave me a nice set when I graduated, still use it 21 years later

several years back I gave a younger fella who helped me a lot at deer camp a fifty dollar bill and a 1/2 dozen condums with a card that said "use all wisely". It was very well received.
