This is like saying you need help repairing a toaster - given the time involved and the price of parts, you're much better off just buying a new one.

Call the manufacturer.

Tell them what you have frankensteined, and let them guide you in purchasing a replacement.

's obviously a built in microwave

There's no such thing as a built-in microwave. It's only a counter top one with a shroud around it.
The above range microwaves are expensive.

Is the diode correctly installed? You can install these backwards and they not work.
If you've replaced the capacitor, diode, and magnetron,
check the overheat thermal trip. I have a microwave that has 2. IIRC one should be normally closed, one normally open. But I'm not 100% sure. But I would check those.

They're still counter tops with that shroud around them.
And those shrouds are ridiculously over priced.
Like get a nice $89 microwave and pay $180 for some sheets of metal and some brackets.

Toss in garbage and buy a toaster oven instead. Microwaves kill nutrients in your food and the jury is still out on harmful radiation

it's an over the range microwave

I never understood why anyone would use an overhead microwave. You heat food really hot then you try to lift it out of the microwave where it is over your face.

You only have to slosh your face or arms with hot food/liquid one time to understand my point.

I am surprised it is legal to sell those things.

When you go pick this up be careful of the huge potholes and root damage to the streets in this area.

After reading your post its obvious you know more about microwaves than anyone should, and probably more than most repair men. Dumpster it and go get a new one.

Saves counter space, vent and light built in for the stove underneath.

I guess I'm gifted because I've avoided this somehow.

Careful up on this. Those things are radioactive.

The guy at the scrap yard told me they wouldn't take them.
