Help me O-T! I need a mechanic!!

So my son's car is broken down in Hammond. I'm fairly certain it's an alternator issue. Does anyone have a recommendation for a mechanic to handle this? Should I prepare my anus?

It's an alternator. It's two, three bolts, new alt, new belt.

Are you and your son both millennial pussies? Go to Auto Zone, buy an alternator, and replace it yourself. Geez.

Not that I can't do it, it's a can't miss work issue. It would be more convenient to let a mechanic handle it.

I've done plenty of work on vehicles. Water pumps, alternators, brake jobs, hub assemblies. Like I said, I'm doing it out of convenience.

Sorry you didn't ask labor rates before bringing to a mechanic.
$90-125/hr for a good mechanic. $150 for alternator. 2hr max job. $400 or so.

Unfortunately, that was my point. The vast majority of them are jerk offs that will take advantage of people if they know you're in a desperate circumstance.
