Does anyone else think the son is being an arse because his dad doesn't understand him?

It seems like he's more disappointed and exasperated from having to repeat himself constantly, than being "rude."

I deal with significant hearing loss (lost hearing in left ear as a kid). I won’t get any devices until I absolutely have to, and when I do it will be as a convenience for me not someone else..
