I drink or go out every night at home anyway, so that wasn't exactly "different".
OP: Do an adults-only pool for pool day. Hard Rock or Encore or whatever. Somewhere with a DJ and hot women. Rent a daybed.

I'm in vegas right now for the first time with the wife and the city fricking blows. Everything is over priced. Provably doesn't help that my psycho mother in law is here too (she paid for our trip), but i never plan on coming back. Cirque du soleil show was bad arse.

Don't listen to these bitches saying 5 days is too much. My first time in Vegas, I spent 5 days and hated myself for not staying longer.
My advice to you:
1. Be prepared to lose every dollar you take with you. That way if that's what happens - you expected it as a part of the expense of the trip. If you come out of top, or have money left at the end, it's awesome.
2. Do NOT miss out on the food. There are so many great restaurants to choose from, but the BUFFETS are where it's at. We're talking chefs from all over the world who are awesome at what they do, creating food dishes that line up as far as your eyes can see, and it will be one of the best food experiences of your life. My recommendation is to purchase the 24 hour buffet passes (ask hotel concierge, or go by Caesars, Planet Hollywood, etc...). It will cost about $50, but you get unlimited buffet trips for 24 hours - at a buffet of your choice between a group of casinos. Easily worth the cost - as opposed to paying $30 per meal.
3. Make sure you check out Cirque Du Soliel, Blue Man Group, or both. Incredible shows that you don't want to miss and you'll never forget.
4. Venture off the strip and go visit old downtown Vegas with the older casinos. You'll find them more laid back, get more for your money, and I've had better luck in many cases.
5. Don't miss the Bellagio water fountain show.
6. Visit a Sportsbook to watch a game and bet on. Lagasse's Stadium (in the Venetian) is my favorite.
7. Find a way to get Tiger in Miami's e-mail address and ask him other questions. He spends more money in Vegas than I make in a year.

I've been there about 15 times. This by far was the most ridiculous thing I discovered last few days there. $6-7 for a bottle of beer at most casinos. Vegas is pricing itself out of entertainment destination. More foreign money in there than ever. I guess they don't really care about catering to the general U.S. population anymore.

You're doing it wrong. There's so much free shite to do in Vegas. Hell, I enjoy just going into the big casinos and watching other people gamble sometimes. Doesn't cost a dime and a lot of times can get free drinks even if you're not playing (of course tip your waitress).

Awesome restaurants or hot sluts, everything here is way way over priced and kind of depressing. Good luck taking 10 steps without someone trying to hand you something, running into a bum or some cracked out whore yelling to no one as she walked around. Though she was a highlight while walking the strip. Would rather have gone to lake tahoe if we did have to visit Nevada.

While I greatly dislike Vegas, you shouldn't be paying for beer at all at a casino. Like someone said, just loiter by a table and order a beer from a waitress.

FORGOT THIS:
If you have time, take the short (few hours) drive to the Grand Canyon. Freaking awesome experience if you've never been. Spent a whole day out there and then got back at about 9PM to get our night started in Vegas. Good times.

Yea we finally just bought liquor and beer at cvs and drank at the hotel.
